Materials chosen with care

Real flowers, folded paper, precious metals and natural materials—clearly described, so you know exactly what you are choosing.

What makes an Echo piece

Every Echo collection is made differently. Some pieces begin with real flowers or folded paper, while others are cast in 925 sterling silver or shaped from wood, seeds, jade and freshwater pearls.

We describe materials precisely and treat natural variation as part of their character. Because construction can differ between designs, the individual product page is always the final guide to every component.

01

Real flowers and folded paper

Echo’s most distinctive materials begin in a delicate form. Flowers and paper are carefully transformed so their natural detail can become jewellery without losing the character that made them special.

Real flower jewellery

Real flowers & clear resin

Each flower is genuine. It is carefully dried, arranged by hand and preserved inside clear resin so its colour, shape and fine natural detail can become part of the jewellery.

Resin gives these fragile botanicals a smooth, lightweight finish while keeping the flower visible within the design. No two arrangements will be perfectly identical; small differences in placement, tone and petal shape are part of what makes each piece individual.

Keep real flower jewellery away from perfume, harsh chemicals, prolonged moisture and strong direct sunlight when it is not being worn.

Origami jewellery

Folded paper & resin protection

Echo origami jewellery begins with real origami paper, individually folded by hand into a miniature form. Fine layers of resin are then added to help protect the paper and preserve its crisp shape and colour.

The finished jewellery retains the character of folded paper while feeling smooth, remarkably light and comfortable to wear. Pattern placement and tiny variations in the folds make every piece subtly different.

Origami jewellery should still be treated gently. Avoid soaking it in water, spraying it with perfume or storing it in strong direct sunlight for long periods.

Metals and finishes

The metal beneath a finish matters. Echo uses different constructions across its collections and states them clearly, so you can distinguish solid sterling silver from gold plating and understand what may sit against your skin.

925 sterling silver

925 sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver, balanced with other metals to give it the strength needed for jewellery. Echo uses it for cast nature-inspired designs and selected hooks, chains and other components.

Its cool brightness works especially well with delicate flowers and detailed forms. Sterling silver can naturally tarnish when exposed to air, moisture and perfume; this is normal and can usually be improved with a suitable silver polishing cloth.

18K gold-plated finishes

Echo uses more than one gold-plated construction. Cast designs in the silver-and-gold collection are finished with 18K gold plating over 925 sterling silver, while some real-flower and origami pieces use 18K gold-plated brass findings.

Gold plating is a surface finish rather than solid gold and will gradually respond to wear. Keep it away from water, perfume, lotions and cleaning products, and store pieces separately to help preserve their colour. The individual product page states the exact base beneath the plating.

Selected stainless-steel components

Selected Echo designs use stainless steel for particular chains or components where its strength and clean finish suit the construction.

It is not used across the whole range, so look to the product page for the complete composition of the piece you are considering—especially when checking a known sensitivity.

Natural materials

Pearls, wood, seeds and jade bring their own grain, lustre, markings and depth. They are selected for character rather than perfect uniformity, so gentle variation is something to expect and enjoy.

Freshwater pearls

Freshwater pearls are naturally formed, so subtle differences in shape, surface and lustre are expected. These variations distinguish them from perfectly uniform imitation pearls and give each piece a softer, more organic character.

Echo uses freshwater pearls in selected floral and classically styled designs. Keep perfume and harsh chemicals away from their surface, and store them carefully to prevent scratching.

Sandalwood & rosewood

Natural wood feels warm, tactile and understated against the skin. Echo bead jewellery mainly uses sandalwood and rosewood, selected for their colour, grain and easy-to-wear character.

Every bead varies slightly in tone and texture. Wood may gently deepen with wear and should be kept away from water, perfume, heavy lotions and prolonged damp conditions.

Bodhi seed beads

Bodhi seed beads have a distinctive organic surface, with individual markings, colour variation and texture from bead to bead. They bring a quiet, natural character that feels different from perfectly uniform beads.

They are often associated with reflection and mindful living, but can simply be enjoyed for their tactile appearance. Keep Bodhi seed jewellery dry and away from perfume and harsh products.

Type A jadeite

The Echo Jade Bracelet is made with polished Type A jadeite. Under this classification, the jadeite has not been dyed or treated with polymer impregnation; traditional surface waxing may still be used as part of polishing.

Natural clouding, tonal variation and depth belong to the stone itself, making each bead and each finished bracelet subtly individual.

Quality, finishing and care

Every Echo piece is checked before it is packed, with attention to the finish, fixings and the natural or handmade details relevant to its construction.

To keep your jewellery looking its best:

  • apply perfume and lotions before putting jewellery on
  • remove pieces before showering, swimming or exercising
  • store jewellery separately in a dry place to reduce scratches and tangles
  • keep resin, paper, wood and seed jewellery away from prolonged moisture
  • polish sterling silver gently with a suitable silver cloth
  • treat pearls, plating and natural beads with extra care

Natural flowers, pearls, wood, seeds and stones will not be completely identical from piece to piece. That individuality is part of their character. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity, check the full product description or contact us before ordering.
